Behavioral patterns and the migratory patterns of the American bald eagle?

How many are still in existence?

Public Comments

  1. How many Bald eagles are still around? or Migration patterns? Both answers you can find online by googling for current Bald eagle populations and for Bird Migration. Eagles don't have a "different" migration pattern from other birds. Just dig a bit deeper- you'll find it!
  2. The only bald eagles that migrate are those from the northern regions of North America. They migrate to escape harsh winter weather, and to look for open water, as they feed on fish. Birds that live in the south are resident birds, they have no need to migrate from the warm climate. Within the lower 48 states of the US, there are nearly 10,000 breeding pairs of American Bald Eagles, up from an all-time low of only 417 pairs in 1963.
