Bald

bald spot..?

my dog has a bald spot between her eyes. its not red or dry or anything. it seems to itch her once in a while. its flat and getting bigger but i think that is cuz of her itching. She doesnt have fleas and shes an indoor dog. She has a vet appointment scheduled but i was just hoping to get a heads up on what i might be expecting. Any ideas? its about the size of a dime. I noticed it about a month ago but i thought she had bumped into something. it was hardly noticable back then.

1. My dog had Demodectic Mange above her eye on her face, so that may be what it is - at least from what you describe, that's what it sounds like - couldn't be a hot spot. Request a skin scraping when you go to your Vet. How long ago did you notice it? How big is the spot?
2. It could be a type of mange, or even an allergy. My friend's beagle was balding around her eyes, and they thought it could be food allergies, or even an allergy to grass! Hope your pup is okay.
