Bald

is there a bald eagle hunting season in Alaska?

I heard this somewhere and I didn't think that it was true, because it is the national bird.

  1. Dude come on, Hell No!
  2. I've never heard of that, and seeing as those birds are "protected" I seriously doubt they'll ever be open to hunt.
  3. No. There is NOT a hunting season anywhere in the U.S for Bald eagles.
  4. What would serve with it if there was? You might as well eat buzzards.
  5. That doesn't make much sense since they're a protected species. What's there to eat in them, anyway?
  6. you can if you want to lose your guns and go to prison
  7. Bald eagles may be hunted by Native Americans in Alaska if there are not enough feathers from seizures, captive eagles or those found deceased for ceremonial purposes. The last legal Bald Eagle hunt was 1973, three were taken. Alaska is the only legal hunting grounds since it is the only area with a sustainable population.
  8. No Although they are no longer considered endangered, they are considered protected. They are our National Bird, its big time jail time and fine. It would also give PETA and the other ANTI's like NOBAMA another thing to b i t c h about
  9. Only a communist would tell you that.
  10. Are you seriously asking this question? Why would there be a hunting season for the bird that represents this country? That would very stupid. Also, if you even pick up a bald eagle feather and your not native american you can get majorly fined or go to jail.
  11. NO
  12. No i believe they are protected, also in Alberta illegal. GL
  13. No, just try hunting turkey, grouse, pheasant, woodcock, doves, or ducks instead.*
  14. yep, but you can only shoot the ones draped with the american flag that are playing baseball and eating apple pie.. seriously, who the hell told you that?
  15. It is illegal... everywhere in the USA. Primarily because they nearly went extinct for a while.... but also because they are the national poultry.
  16. No. And unless if you are Native Alaskan (or have one signed by a Native) you can't even have parts (feathers, beaks, etc...) of eagles.
