What is the average age that men start going bald?
My husband has really thick hair, so I never really thought we were that old, but we went to my 10 year H.S. reunion this summer and a lot of the guys have much bigger foreheads than I remember :) We aren't even 30 yet! Isn't that kindof young to be going bald?

- Doesn't mean they are going bald. Guys can lose a little hair in the front and that's it.
- According to my uncle the average age to go bald is when you have kids! LOL But it seems like to me that most guys I know start to go bald in their 40s. However, like anything else, it varies greatly. I know guys in high school losing hair and my grandpa died at 94 with a full head of hair. Stress, drug use, and bad diet can cause premature balding.
- it depends the gal above is correct it varies greatly, i had a full head of hair up till i was 20 then a deployment to iraq and it was gone good thing i have a nice head for shaving.... tell him if he starts going bald to shave it off, none of that comb over crap its just flat out denial.
- There are so many factors when it comes to going bald. Stress, hormone levels, genetics, etc. Personally, I noticed my hair started thinning in high school and am sure I will probably have a noticeable bald spot by the time I'm thirty (sadly, it runs in the family).
- For some baldness begins at 18, or sometime before 25. If at that age a man has all his hair, he may again go bald much later, at 50 or so. Of course increasing foreheads is a fact of life, but that doesn't mean the person is actually going bald.
