Why is it legal to have an Abortion, but illegal to touch a bald eagle feather in the United States?

It seems like the animal rights activist are the same people that are pro abortion.

1. Because the Supreme Courts opinion is what COUNTS. They make the laws of the land You know the, woman's right to choose.... Now about the Bald Eagle, it is just about extinct. They are trying to save the Eagle. I hope that helps.

Yeah, and I also notice the people who are jumping up and down about a bear being killed are all for human fetuses being ripped apart in their mother's womb and then sucked out like a piece of common trash. You can kill all the babies you want, but Oh God! Don't touch a snowy owl, you will be locked up for sure.

5. My opinion? No one is pro-abortion. They just don't have the voice to say their opinions. Now. The reason why it's illegal to have a bald eagle feather is because they are a protected and threatened species. If you have a bald eagle feather, there is no way to prove that you didn't kill the eagle to obtain the feather. With abortion, it's mainly the mother's descision; and no one can really sway her descision once it's been made. It's not PETA or any animal rights' activists that are saying, "Okay, Sally, you should have an abortion because...", or "Okay, Cindy, you can have your baby." It's really not PETA's descion; it's the mother's descision. As for bald eagles, they are threatened; it's only natural for people to want to protect them.

It is not illigal to touch a bald eagle feather but it is illigal to sell one without the correct documentation stating that the bird that the feather came from was bred in captivity and has not been taken from a wild bird, this is to protect the birds from people who might try shooting them to collect the feathers for profit. The same can apply for a stuffed eagle. Whereas the abortion should be the decision of the mother and her alone. and this decision should be made with the childs quality of life or the mothers or babys health in mind. An eagle has no choice if someone decides to shoot it to sell its feathers.
7. Because they don't know if you killed the bird or not. AND, it's pro-CHOICE. There's technically no such thing as pro-abortion, because anyone who wants to kill off the human population by ending every pregnancy in abortion (the definition of "pro-abortion") is insane. I just support the woman's right to make a choice about HER body.
