Is it okay to mount a bald eagle up side of my spotted owl if I found him on the side of the road?

and didn't kill him myself ?

  1. Probably not , take to a legit govt agnecy that monitors anial deaths and diseases they will want to take a look at It . get youself check also . Why would you want a mangled bird any ways?
  2. if the bald eagle officially comes off the endangered species list then yes. however the spotted owl is still endangered whether you killed it or not they're illegal to possess
  3. In England it is illegal to pick up ''road kill'' if you killed it yourself, as it could be said you killed it on purpose. However if it was already dead when you found it, it's then ok for you to take it. I suppose it's simply down to you what you do with it from there. If he is in good condition, I don't see why he can't be stuffed and mounted. A taxidermist would likely be able to advise on the legality of that.
  4. How'd you get the spotted owl? Just curious since they are endangerded too as mentioned above. I would have to agree with taking it to a govt official. You don't know what it died from and that isn't healthy to you or the taxidermist. If the govt agency lets you have it then I guess it is ok, but I'd be worried that they would think you killed it since you're so excited to add it to your collection. Besides I am against mounting animals anyway. First I don't like hunting - except for thinning the deer population. Animals don't BELONG to us, they have spirits and are part of the natural world and should be buried if found dead so they can return to that from whence they came.
  5. curious.will your spotted owl go with my manatee wiskers or will they clash
