Is it truly illegal to eat bald eagle eggs?

If not where can i get some mmmmmmmmm If so what is the punishment? And who wouldnt do a little time to get some of that sweet sweet egg. I tried some on a vacation outside the US and havent been able to stop thinking about them.

3. All wild birds in the United States are federally protected . the bald eagle is threatened. The penalty for hunting, procuring, poaching( no pun intended), or illegally buying avian wildlife is severe.
