How do you know if you are going to go bald if you don't yet show baldness? I'm convinced that I shed too much hair when I shampoo. It's been this way for years now - prob close to a decade. I still don't see any bald spots or thinned out areas but I can't seem to shake the feeling that my shedding is unnatural or evidence of hair loss. OK so I'm receding a bit on my right side of my head, although I have really thick hair and my whole life everyone in my family told I would never have to worry about going bald. No men in my family have gone bold, so what I'm wondering did you or do you know any men who receded in their early 20s but never went bald. I have also been real stressed lately so maybe thats the problem. I would also like to know if I could lose my hair from the way I sleep because I always sleep on my right side and maybe thats way I'm losing some hair.

My cat keeps itching her ears so much she's going bald on her head.? So my three year old cat Halo is sick or something. I’m starting to really worry. About a month ago she started itching her ear, we thought it was just ear mites and we cleaned her ears with q-tips and used ear medication to stop the ear mites. But she stared to take bits off her ears and is going bald on the top of her head from scratching so much. So we put a cone on her and took her to a vet a week later. They said she has an allergy to the grain in the cat food, so they gave us a certain food for her. Thing is she’s been eating this food almost her entire life. Now she’s showing signs of cat stress by licking her fur clean off. So she has bald spots on her left foreleg & paw, right foreleg, left hindfoot, and the left side of her stomach. My dad worked for a shelter awhile back and my mother volunteers for a shelter, so you know what kinda experience my family has. What I wanna ask is if anyone had a cat that did this and cured them, and how they cured them. Or if anyone’s a vet and can help her in a way. She’s a very nice and loving cat and I hate to see her like this.

22 and going bald, how can I cope with it? I turned 22 in February. I didn't start to realize I was losing my hair until I saw a picture of myself as a senior in highschool. It seems I suffer from MPB (male pattern baldness), I'm still on the first few stages. If you google pictures it seems like the hair on the sides of the top of your scalp fall out first, only a few inches then the middle area falls out. This happens 3 times before all your top hair is gone. I'm still on stage 1. I still have a lot of hair, but you can tell I'm going bald. Now the thing that I question is, I have a server tooth infection that has been infected for probably over a year now. I've done my research and found out that infections can cause hair loss, I'm getting it fixed in a few weeks and I'm hoping that's the cause, and not DHT being produced. If it isn't the cause and I do have MPB, how can I cope with it? I don't want to take Propecia because it causes irreversible sexual dysfunctions, and I'd rather go bald then not be able to get it up. I've done my research with Rogaine but I haven't ran into something that clearly states that it does or it doesn't cause sexual dysfunction side effects. OMG! My puppy is going bald!!? Ok so my pup was born last Nov. And she is quiet gorgeous and it hurts me to see her going bald. What would cause my dog's tail to start going bald? I have a 13 year old, female schipperke with an undocked tail. We have had her since she was young and she has been in very good health. Over the last week or so, she has been shedding enormous amounts of hair from her tail, down to the area around her anus. Her tail is now practically bald. She is not showing any signs of illness, nor does she act like the area hurts or itches. The skin looked a little inflamed a few days ago, but her skin looks normal now although the shedding continues.
